• A Xerox of your desired piece(s).
• Size, Length and Style of piece i.e.: Luncheon (small) Place (medium) or Dinner (large), Fork, Spoon, Butter knife, Salad, etc....
• Inicials or Monograms

Hallmark or Maker
The Hallmark or Makers mark is usually stamped on the back of the piece about midway on its length. Sometimes, the makers name is listed.

Xerox copies
Lay the piece face down (tines down for forks and bowl down for other pieces) on a copy machine. Place as many pieces as you can on each page without reducing or enlarging the copy. It is also a good idea to keep a copy of this for your insurance records.
